Roundtable on the CSR Strategy
On December 19, 2017, Rrjeti CSR Kosova organized a Roundtable to discuss the Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy with stakeholders, including state institutions, international organizations, university representatives, civil society, business associations, and members of Rrjeti CSR Kosova.
The panelists who addressed the role of CSR in society and sustainable economic development included Mr. Besim Beqaj, Minister of Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Ms. Dhurata Hoxha, Minister of European Integration; Mr. Robert Wright, General Director of Raiffeisen Bank in Kosovo; and Mr. Thomas Glavas, General Director of SharrCem.
During the roundtable, the Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy for the period 2018–2020 was presented and discussed. Speakers from different sectors shared their perspectives on the importance of institutionalizing CSR in Kosovo. Ms. Venera Hajrullahu from KCSF emphasized the role of civil society in promoting CSR principles, while Mr. Edon Kalludra presented European Union best practices in this field.
Participants discussed the challenges and opportunities for strengthening the role of CSR in society and in the country’s economic development.
