International Conference on Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change
The International Conference on Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change concluded successfully, marking a significant moment for collaboration between private, public, and academic sectors in Kosovo.
Zana Bajrami Rama, Executive Director of Kosovo CSR Network, delivered an inspiring speech on the first day of the conference, highlighting the importance of corporate responsibility for a sustainable future. She praised the commitment of private sector businesses in Kosovo for adhering to global sustainability principles and emphasized concrete actions already underway:
• Developing environmentally friendly products
• Implementing sustainable building practices through international certifications
• Conducting projects with direct impact on national decarbonization strategies
In her speech, Ms. Rama called for mobilization and joint action across all stakeholders:
• Active engagement of government institutions
• Collaboration with academic institutions
• Participation of the private sector to drive economic and environmental transformation
The conference gathered around 250 experts from private businesses, government, academia, and international development organizations to encourage dialogue and identify practical solutions for Kosovo’s green transition.
This event was organized in partnership with Kosovo CSR Network, the Center for Energy and Sustainability, USAID Kosovo Adapt Activity, and GIZ Kosovo.
